Pescara: still important news also in ARPA

Even within ARPA's about to change. In fact, new buses are coming to retire much of the now famous Fiat 570.12.20. The means of the first series (As in 1981 to spur the windscreen) will be completely deleted, while the means of the second series (1982 and 1983) will be removed only in Pescara and Chieti, and will continue to run normally in Avezzano, Sulmona, and Giulianova Teramo.I means which will replace the glorious Fiat 570, are Solaris Urbino 12 CNG, the same model that is also coming at the GTM in Pescara, but in suburban 2-door version.

Let's now talk of what moves today (January 2011) to Pescara and Chieti. A
Chieti ARPA suburban buses depart from the bus station in Viale Gran Sasso, just below Largo Riding along to other long distance companies such as Di Fonzo. The nearest suburban ARPA, however, are in Largo Riding right next to the terminus of La Panoramica, direct to Pescara and Francavilla. Mainly there are several Fiat 570, both first and second series, directed both at Pescara in Francavilla. We now turn to Pescara. A suburban Pescara's all start from the bus station located at the railway station square. Here you can find everything from 570 first and second series, the Fiat 370, up to the inter-bus. Here, as in Chieti, ci sono anche altre aziende, non solo abruzzesi, come la SATI, azienda molisana che da Pescara arriva fino a Campobasso.

Come si dice, 30 anni e non sentirli! La vettura 398 ancora va alla grande per le stradine di Chieti. E' arrivata alle 11.35 circa a Largo Cavallerizza per ripartire 10 minuti dopo alla volta di Francavilla. Nonostante altri 570 di prima serie che ho fotografato, ho scelto di inserire questa vettura in particolare per un motivo ben preciso: la 398 è l'unica vettura che ha ancora i loghi ARPA originali. Infatti le altre vetture del 1981 hanno il logo ARPA nuovo (colore blue). Of course I have gone around on this car, even though I have extended the route to Pescara. But it was worth it! A Pescara abbastanza frequentemente, troviamo anche gli Iveco 580 Turbocity. Sono stati acquistati nel 1989, e anche loro vanno molto bene, come del resto la maggior parte dei Turbocity sparsi in Italia. Montano tutti cambio ZF, e percorrono linee very different, very busy.
